Well hello there! Over the next few days I will post some reviews on beauty products and a few other things. I am very very new to things beauty related and i thought i would start a blog to share my experiences with beauty and other things on a budget just for a bit of fun and hopefully you'll like it... :) Here we go!
Review-stila jade blossom hair refresher
Now I have never purchased a stila product before and when I saw the name in Poundland (of all places!) i thought I might give it a go. Now I would put stila in the low-medium high street make up brand spectrum, (ooh getting a bit technical) so I had high hopes for it as I've heard good reviews about them from friends and other blogs I read. So this "hair refresher" is basically dry shampoo in a bottle. Firstly it just has a cap, not a spray top which makes it extremely difficult to use. It suggests that you hold it upright and squeeze the bottle and poof the powder onto your scalp.
Now I tried this when I was getting ready to go out and when I tried to "poof" this onto my hair it went all over my laptop and everything nearby. Great. And as you have to hold it upright it is very hard to get onto wherever you want it to go, so naturally I tried holding it upside down and well..I looked like a bag of flour had fallen on my head. It is also very hard to brush in so you look a bit like you have very sever dandruff...oh dear. It doesn't really leave you with the feeling that your hair is "refreshed". The smell is quite nice, not my favourite but isn't insanely overpowering like some dry shampoos. Over all I was very disappointed with this and I think its not even worth the pound I paid unfortunately. I do want to try out more of the Poundland make up offers (as I am on a teen budget) as some products got a good review from a thrifty mrs. (LOVE her blog and her youtube channel.) Although the one other thing I did like about the "hair refresher" was the cute packaging. Sorry stila, will NOT be repurchasing that particular product. :(
